I am a warm, empathic practitioner with a Diploma in Transactional Analysis (TA) and am currently undertaking further study to complete the Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA) qualification. My work is grounded in the principles of TA and underpinned by a relational and co-creative ethos. I previously trained in Person Centred Counselling and was a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Addiction. I believe that meaningful therapeutic work is built on mutual respect, authentic connection, and a shared commitment to growth. I strive to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore their experiences, develop insight, and cultivate change. My approach is deeply relational—I work alongside clients, honouring their autonomy while gently guiding the process of self-discovery. With a strong foundation in TA theory and a compassionate presence, I offer a thoughtful, professional, and client-centred therapeutic relationship that adapts to each individual’s unique needs.

I am a creative person who enjoys working with people in ways that suit their needs, often utilising visual and sensory resources. I chose the name of my practice, Connection Point as it reflects what I feel therapy is about; finding the points of connection and therapeutically meeting there. I work individually with adults and young people age 16. As well as my therapy space, I also have a studio space (on the same road as my therapy space) called Creative Corner where I run therapeutic art & crafts groups for young people experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance. These groups are for age 7+.

Hi there. My passion as a psychotherapist comes from my desire to see "the other" set free, emancipated, to be fully who they are, and were meant to be! Clients: I tend to work in an integrated way with clients. Together, we can gently explore what you might need and then find creative and bespoke ways to support you in moving towards psychological relief and meaning-making. Modalities I use include Transactional Analysis, Humanistic approaches, CBT, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Couples: I have worked with couples for many years, utilising a range of approaches tailored to each couple's needs. I work with a whole range of people from the LGBTQ+ spectrum and same-sex couples. Supervisees: I am a highly experienced clinical supervisor, and the same philosophy applies to supporting supervisees in becoming the best practitioners they can be. I am interested in the therapist's professional identity and philosophy, and I hope to provide a supervisory environment that is full of emancipation, spaciousness, and freedom. Every practitioner is different, and I hope to celebrate your development as a practitioner in your way.

I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, supervisor, and trainer. Based in Central London (Marylebone), I run a private psychotherapy practice and also work online with clients internationally. I have experience working with individuals and groups also within NHS. I hold an MSc in Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy and am a Certified Transactional Analyst in the field of Psychotherapy (CTA(P)). Additionally, I am a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst (PTSTA(P)). My clinical specialisms include developmental trauma, personality disorders, issues related to dependency and codependency, parentification, and relationship issues. Alongside my therapeutic work, I am a clinical supervisor and trainer, both of which I offer in international contexts. I have a deep passion for writing, research, and theory development. This has led to the publication of several journal articles and the creation of a distinct TA psychotherapy approach: Interpretive Dynamic Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (IDTAP). This approach is currently being researched in the treatment of borderline personality disorder (BPD). I am also actively involved in psychotherapy policy development. At present, I serve as an independent adviser to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Slovenia, advising on the adoption of the statutory regulation of psychotherapy.

I offer counselling sessions both in-person and online, depending on your needs and preferences. I am based near Bradford on Avon, and also cover the surrounding areas including Trowbridge, Melksham, Bath and Chippenham. As part of individual sessions, I also offer walking therapy—an outdoors-based approach where we can walk and talk at your own pace, or simply find a peaceful spot to sit and reflect. Bringing the natural environment into our sessions can be incredibly grounding and can help ease the intensity of sitting face-to-face in a room or on a screen. Whether we’re moving or still, being outside often supports a sense of openness, calm, and clarity. Walking therapy is available locally (near Bradford on Avon), and we’ll agree on a location that feels safe and comfortable for you. We would begin with a meeting on zoom.

I am an experienced therapist offering short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy, tailored to your unique needs and goals. I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, and with the right therapeutic partnership, you can improve how you relate to others while creating a more fulfilling and autonomous life. My practice is video based, which provides convenience, flexibility and an accessible way to receive support, allowing you to engage in therapy from the comfort of your own private space. My approach is collaborative and interactive. We will explore your past, address present challenges, and work together to help you move forward in the way that you want. I believe the foundation of effective therapy lies in a vital, trusting relationship, where you feel empowered to guide the direction of our work but also are invited to consider differing views. My commitment is to ensure that the process is both safe and genuinely helpful, providing the support you need for lasting change. I have been working with clients therapeutically for nearly a decade in the charitable sector, in both PF Counselling and Cross-reach Addiction Service in Edinburgh. During this time my client work encompasses issues such as addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, work stress and relationship difficulties. I have many years of senior leadership experience in the corporate world, and with that a tangible understanding of the stress, anxiety and other work-related challenges that this can bring.

Hi, I'm Hannah :) I am passionate about meeting people just as they are, offering warmth and kindness and sharing knowledge that stimulates and empowers our life force energy so that we can make conscious choices that move us out of stuck places. I have personal experience and empathy with people managing life alongside such challenges as anxiety and panic attacks, cyclical depression, debilitating mental and physical fatigue, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, voice-hearing, and internal disturbance and struggle that is manifesting as unexplainable/undiagnosable physical pain. Like many people’s Book Of Life, my story has a colourful and socially acceptable cover with many light and loving moments and tales of joy, connection and fulfillment… but some of the chapters also include experiences of abuse, trauma, loss, and grief. Engaging in various therapy modalities over the last decade has given me an insight into what is available, some offered me short and medium term relief and others planted the seeds for real change, but studying for my degree in Psychology With Counselling really cemented my desire to train in Psychotherapy so that I can go deeper than counselling with my clients when needed. I believe in, practice and witness daily, the power of connecting to, listening to, and responding with understanding to what our bodies feel/do when we explore our stories and wounds with care and compassion. Here we learn how to navigate our emotions and bodily responses without shutting them down or getting consumed by them – an invaluable tool for processing the past, engaging with the present, and facing the future with confidence and self-trust. And finally, I am learning ways to live and work with (instead of within) the tones and traits of my unique neurodivergences in a neurotypical world, and I am enjoying sharing these tools and resources with relevant clients. I provide counselling and psychotherapy sessions informed, in the main, by the modality of Transactional Analysis (TA) and I work with individuals, couples and groups. TA provides us with a useful way of understanding our communications, attachment styles, relationships with ourselves and with others, and for gaining awareness and autonomy around our internal conflicts and patterns. The core philosophies of TA are that people are OK, everyone has the capacity to think, people decide their own destiny and these decisions can be changed (Eric Berne, 1966). In essence this means that relationships in the therapeutic space are founded upon the philosophical assumption that people have value, worth and dignity, self-acceptance for who they are and acceptance for others in the here and now, that they can decide for themselves what they want from their lives, and that changes to those decisions are an appropriate element of growth and development. The therapy space I offer is held as an equal meeting place where, together and when you feel safe and ready to do so, we can explore your story and the chapters of your life so far, where we can get to know you and honour your feelings around your experiences. The style of therapeutic relationship I endeavour to cultivate is one of open communication, where you can tune into your authentic voice without fear of judgement and develop your self-awareness in a co-compassionate space to utilise your own wisdom to make conscious choices and changes in your inner and outer worlds. If you are interested in arranging therapy sessions with me, I offer an introductory assessment session on Zoom where we can get to know a little about each other, assess your needs, and decide if and how to proceed in working together to reach your aims. The assessment session is £45 and lasts for 1 hour. To arrange this simply email me at iokuoktherapy@gmail.com with a short introduction to yourself, your contact details, and an idea of your availability for the Zoom session and we’ll take it from there.
