I am a qualified psychotherapist in Transactional Analysis and have worked in this field for many years. I have also been a Lecturer and Tutor for the Open and Kingston Universities, so I am experienced with working with adult learners studying and changing career pathways.
I taught child development and developmental psychology and this became integrated into my training in psychotherapy. This was particularly evident reviewing and applying attachment theory to my work with clients who presented with a variety of attachment styles.
I have worked as a Professional adviser for the Charity Young Minds – supporting parents with children with Mental health difficulties and as a Clinical Supervisor at a women’s centre. I also used to be a trainer for NHS England delivering training to teachers and lecturers on their Youth Mental Health First Aid programme.
I have been and I am a currently an examiner in the South East of England for Counsellor and Psychotherapy Examinations. I support students with some tutoring in academic writing skills.
I have a confidential private space to work in my office at the end of the garden, which is where I see my own clients and supervisees in private practice either face to face or online.
