Jem Gunn

Acting Chair

Jem Gunn is a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy Therapeutic Counsellor in Private Practice; specialising in appearance-related mental health disorders (including Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and Eating Disorders). Jem is a Clinical Supervisor and ILM qualified Professional Business Mentor specialising in Coaching & Mentoring Therapists in Private Practice.


Jem is passionate about Transactional Analysis, she studied at (UKATA Registered Training Establishments); the Ellesmere Centre for Psychotherapy Training (ECPT) and Elan Training and Development respectively, to Post Graduate Diploma level 7 in Transactional Analysis & Counselling, and Integrative Psychotherapy.


Jem is a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP), and a BACP Communities of Practice Champion for Body-Image Therapy. She is an associate member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), and regional ambassador for the Association of Business Mentors (ABM), which compliments her Private Practice service offerings. With an extensive career background in leading Digital Transformation Portfolios within the Financial Services sector, and her Portfolio Management Director APMG qualification, coupled with her passion for T.A.; Jem brings a wealth of experience and transferable skills to her role as a UKATA Board Trustee.
