My life and working experience has led to a particular focus in working with adults who have experienced trauma in childhood such as neglect, physical and emotional abuse or who have experienced disrupted relationships with their parents/carers, for example as a result of being fostered or adopted , going to boarding school, or may be due to parental divorce/bereavement. Additionally I have experience of working with carers of children (including adult children) with disabilities.

I have experience of working with people who experience depression, anxiety, low confidence and self-esteem, and those who have experienced trauma, abuse, and dissociation.

My previous working background was in Nursing, education and as a foster carer. I am also an adoptive mum to an adult child with learning disabilities and medical needs.
