Thank-you for taking time to read about what I have to offer you. I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working in my private practice since 2012.
I offer an initial telephone consultation to give you an opportunity to talk with me, to tell me a little about yourself and answer your questions, this is an important step for you and I to see if we are a good fit to work together. This time also gives us an opportunity to see if I am the right professional for your needs.
I work with people, over 18, who are experiencing mental health issues ( as outlined in the "What I can help with" section).
I use weekly outcome measures which are questionnaires to monitor your health and well being as well as how you are responding to therapy which helps to tailor the therapy to your needs and years of research support this way of working and improve the outcomes of therapy.
My background is in the NHS as a senior nurse and advanced nurse practitioner for almost 30 years, on retirement I retrained as a psychotherapist.
I am currently doing an advanced research degree looking at how therapists use outcome measures in their decision making.
