We offer training courses with Transactional Analysis as our core model. The two-day introductory course, the TA101 is useful in itself for counsellors or personal development. There is a Foundation Course which provides a more in-depth study of the principles of TA whilst enabling you to experience the application of TA to your professional practice and personal life. This can be a stand-alone course, of relevance and interest to anyone seeking to improve their awareness and skills in relationships, or be the entry to the three-year part time psychotherapy training.
Elan training is a UKATA Registered TA training establishment providing a four year training programme leading to certification as a Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist and UKCP registration
The Iron Mill TA psychotherapy programme is based in the centre of Exeter, close to transport links, accommodation and shopping areas.
The overall integrating principle for the course is the use of Transactional Analysis as a relational psychotherapy. The team of tutors are all experienced UKCP-Registered psychotherapists, and TA Trainers and Supervisors, with special interests and expertise. We aim to create a flexible and lively training within a robust structure. This is based on principles of Radical Education: education as a dialogue, based in the lived experience of the participants, and with shared responsibility for the learning.
We offer the TA 101, a 2-day introduction to the key concepts for anyone interested in this theory and practice, a Psychotherapy Foundation course in TA, and a 3-year Advanced TA psychotherapy course.
Students may complete the Foundation in TA as a standalone course. The 4 -year psychotherapy programme, (the 1-year Foundation course and 3-year Advanced TA psychotherapy course), provides a complete training leading to qualification in TA psychotherapy , and meets the curriculum requirements for UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) registration, on completion of the CTA.
The Link Centre provides the opportunity for people to train as psychotherapists and counsellors as well as providing short introductory courses and Continued Professional Development workshops. We offer a relaxed and stimulating learning environment in the Sussex countryside at Plumpton, near to Brighton, Haywards Heath and Lewes.
Physis Scotland is proud to be the only RTE in Scotland, based in our capital city of Edinburgh. Our strapline is ‘stretching boundaries, promoting growth and transformation’ which encompasses our hope to provide a safe environment and a high-quality learning experience where TA trainees, at all levels, can flourish and develop personally and professionally.
We provide an in-depth, stimulating and experiential, comprehensive training programme for trainees enrolling on TA 101s to COSCA accredited Diploma level and beyond to becoming a Certified Transactional Analyst registered with the UKCP.
For the qualified practitioner we offer a range of courses including the COSCA accredited Diploma in Counselling Supervision, which has Advanced Specialist Recognition with the National Counselling Society. In addition, we are delighted to offer a Certificate in Couples Work and an exciting suite of CPD programmes to support the TA Community in Scotland and further afield.
Expert training in Contemporary Transactional Analysis
Red Kite Training received its RTE status in 2016 and offers a diverse range of training routes in TA Psychotherapy from the TA101 to numerous interim awards leading to BACP accreditation or CTA and UKCP registration. We are located in leafy South Liverpool and have Hope University as our training venue.
At Red Kite we offer an ecological, co-creative relational approach to learning which involves a mutual curiosity and involvement in exploring, experiencing and expanding our perspectives and possibilities in both theory and practice. We give ongoing attention to the somatic, body, neurological and transpersonal dimensions. Our training takes particular account of the ecological spaces in which we live and learn. Much of the course is team-taught by the core trainers with some visiting trainers. We encourage trainees in their writing; two trainees were awarded UKATA Research Prizes for their work last year.

TA Training Organisation is based in North West Leeds. We offer a part-time 4 year clinical training programme in Transactional Analysis consisting of:
– 1 year Foundation Certificate course (a standalone course or Year 1) followed by
– 2 years on our TA Clinical Training taught programme to reach Diploma in TA and,
– 1 year additional training to lead to CTA.
Training takes place at weekends and our clinical training meets the requirements for UKCP and CTA. Our aim is to equip our students to be the best psychotherapists that they can be through the quality of our training. Our approach is to offer a training experience that is exciting, lively, liberating and well structured.
Our learning philosophy is based on the core idea in TA that people can think for themselves. We feel that adults learn most effectively in an environment of mutual curiosity, exploration, open communication and transparency, where the whole group attends to group dynamics and process and relationship.
We also offer an Exam Preparation Group and CPD training programme on a wide range of topics and levels. CPD training takes place online as well as face to face courses and workshops.

TAC is a training centre rooted in the heart of Pembrokeshire. The recent OMR report from the UKCP reflected that our training embodied OKness.
Environmental culture is an integral part of this RTE as the centre is surrounded by fields and woods. Our responsiveness to the land is integrated into the training. We offer an intimate and stimulating training experience in a beautiful natural environment where we can attend to the individual needs of each trainee.
With this is a focus on relationship to self and others, creativity and the body within a frame of reference of co-creative philosophies.
As a result our training is experiential, self-reflective as well as academic.
We encourage diversity. We do this by keeping our fees as low as possible and by offering each trainee a very high degree of personal attention through the small size of training groups and regular tutorials. This means that individuals from all walks of life and educational back grounds can access training in a supportive and challenging environment.
We pride ourselves on offering Adult learning. This means that our trainees become psychotherapists that are able to think for themselves from unique perspectives.
Rosalind Sharples and Nathan Gould are the core trainers of this RTE. They are both actively involved with UKATA and the UKCP which ensure that the training offers the most recent developments in TA. Through their diverse connections this vibrant training centre also hosts national and International trainers.
We aim to provide the highest standards possible for training through a rigorous and robust backbone of theory taught through sharing concepts, discussion, guided self-reflection, research and practical experience. TAC trainees are invited to question, develop and put their own ideas into practice. The ethos of the training is non-judgemental, an ethos that invites curiosity and courage.
We attract trainees from our local area and from further afield as we provide facilities for both camping and overnight stays. As the area is stunningly beautiful, trainees find that the training weekend not only educates but nurtures the spirit through connection to nature and colleagues.

TA East is a counselling and psychotherapy training Institute. It has grown out of a counselling, psychotherapy, supervision and consultancy practice established in East London for over twenty years. TA East aims to offer an in-depth training in Transactional Analysis, leading to recognised qualifications in counselling and/or psychotherapy. The training will be delivered in the spirit of TA philosophy, that all people are ok, everyone has the capacity to reach their full potential and all people can change.
TA East is committed to Social Responsibility and what this means to us as counsellors, psychotherapists and trainers. We aim to hold social conscience and political awareness as central to our training and practise.
Our vision is to build TA East from the roots of the East London Community.
In this we aim to be:
• Actively involved in the wider community,
• Committed to making the training accessible and inclusive,
• Informing ourselves of what is going on in the wider world,
• Being willing to have our frame of reference challenged,
• Being aware of the political practise of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Integral to the training is an awareness of difference and cultural diversity, bringing counselling and psychotherapy into social and political contexts.
TA East is committed to making the training accessible to all, representing transcultural East London.
TA East belongs to a diverse community of Transactional Analyst Psychotherapists across Britain, in Europe and the wider world.
TA East lens
Our challenge at TA East is to integrate an inter- sectional lens across the curriculum, considering social, political, cultural and historical contexts across the theory and practise, not as add-ons but at every aspect of our being.
This begins at the planning stage of every unit, where tutors consider this lens across the curriculum and process. Who constructed the theory? When was it constructed? What were the social and political contexts of the time? Considering western lens, white privilege and what anti racism and anti discrimination looks like. This is a ‘living into’ challenge to us all but is in the veins of TA East.
TA East offers the following TA courses, from introduction courses, to a three year Counselling training and four year Psychotherapy training, leading to professional qualification and registration
