This workshop will be co-hosted by Neil Keenan (PTSTA) and Anna Donaghey, an alcohol mindset coach. They each offer a different approach to helping people develop a healthy relationship with alcohol, and they have found their different approaches complement one another well.

Would you like better to understand your relationship with alcohol and how you use it? Would you like to learn ways of monitoring or moderating how much you drink?

Perhaps you're helping or are concerned about a friend or family member whose drinking is becoming a problem?

If these questions seem relevant for you, then join us at this workshop and gain the insight and support you need.

Our relationship with alcohol can be more complex than just using it to dull stressful emotions. Alcohol is commonly used to create and reinforce social bonds. In our culture, we all recognise 'the pub' as a longstanding focal point for connecting with others and enjoying a sense of belonging. In some situations, people might use alcohol to amplify their experience of celebration, while others turn to alcohol at times of grief. These examples illustrate how differently each of us can view alcohol and the reasons we might find for consuming it.

Together, Anna and Neil will share with you their experience and applied knowledge on this age-old subject of people's complex use of alcohol. By way of this workshop, they aspire to equip you with the insight and tools you need to ensure you can use alcohol in a healthy and enjoyable way.
