"Opening the Doors to the Asylum" is a 15-hour advanced professional development course to support those preparing the Mental Health Familiarisation Placement (MHFP) report for UKCP registration. Delivered in a blended format, the course includes a 7.5-hour guided self-study component followed by a one-day in-person workshop on 23rd May 2025 at Connexus Institute, Hove.

Participants will gain essential knowledge of psychiatric assessment, the Mental Health Act, and multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance their clinical practice. Led by Patrick Brook, TSTA(P), this course is ideal for psychotherapists working towards accreditation or those seeking a deeper understanding of mental health systems.
