Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Couples  This six-day certificate course, conducted over three weekends, is designed by Annette Jones, a psychotherapist and trainer with over 18 years of experience. The course focuses on the complexities of relationships in clinical settings and aims to enhance your knowledge, understanding, and confidence in working with various relationship issues. Annette's training is highly regarded and in demand.

The certificate course covers both personal and practical perspectives on:

  • Working Safely and Ethically: Emphasises risk assessment, safety planning, navigating negative behaviours, and breaking habitual responses.
  • Unconscious Forces: Explores how family history and epigenetics influence partner choice and how relationships unconsciously address unresolved conflicts and trauma.
  • Managing Conflict: Provides strategies and techniques for understanding communication patterns and helping individuals express themselves effectively.
  • Supporting Separation or Ending Relationships: Discuss viable options, separation's impact, and how to facilitate trial runs.
  • Relational Catastrophe: Covers different types of infidelity and strategies for dealing with complex grief, chronic anxiety, and trauma.
  • Sex and Psychosexual Issues: Examines sexual anatomy, arousal cycles, sexual dysfunction, and underlying emotional and psychological issues affecting intimacy.

The course offers practical techniques and directional approaches, peer discussions, and reflection on personal and professional development.  Participants will gain extensive knowledge and insights into working with couples, supported by case studies and clinical experience.

You will receive a Connexus Institute Certificate in Working Therapeutically with Couples upon completion, which counts as 36 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
